Sign My Card is operated by SIGNMYCARD LTD, company number 16379986. You can contact us at support@signmycard.com.
SMC Standard costs £9.99 and includes access to the card-creation platform, unlimited signatures, production of one personalised A5 physical card and standard postage by Royal Mail 2nd Class. Optional contributor payments and any associated service or processing charges are shown separately before payment.
People of different ages may create and sign Sign My Card cards. If you are under 18, you should have permission from a parent, guardian or other responsible adult before making a purchase, uploading a photograph or providing another person’s personal information. Anyone making a payment must be authorised to use the selected payment method. Before paying, please check the recipient, occasion, message, deadline, delivery information and price. An order is accepted when payment is confirmed and the card is activated. We may reject or cancel an order where payment fails, information appears fraudulent, content is unlawful or fulfilment is not reasonably possible.
Organisers are responsible for keeping login details secure and for providing accurate invitation addresses. Signing links should be shared only with intended contributors. Organisers must not use SMC for unsolicited marketing or send invitations to people without a reasonable connection to the card.
Organisers and contributors retain ownership of their words and images. By submitting content, you give SIGNMYCARD LTD permission to host, reproduce, format and print it solely to operate, secure and fulfil the card service. You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions, including permission to use uploaded photographs. Do not submit unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, defamatory, infringing or seriously offensive material. We may remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary.
The organiser controls when a card is completed. Completion closes normal signing and contributions and allows the personalised print file to enter fulfilment. The organiser must review the card before completion. We may make minor layout adjustments so messages fit safely and remain printable.
Contributions are optional. The contribution amount, SMC charge and total payment are displayed before a contributor authorises payment. Payment services are provided by the payment provider shown at checkout. We do not receive or store full payment-card details. Additional payout arrangements will be presented to the organiser where applicable.
We aim to keep SMC available, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, hosting incidents, payment-provider failures and events outside our reasonable control may occasionally affect the service. We will take reasonable steps to protect active cards and restore service.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract began or for business losses where you purchased as a consumer.
We may update these terms for future orders. The terms shown when your order is placed apply to that order unless a change is required by law or benefits you. These terms are governed by the law applicable in the part of the United Kingdom where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
We receive information directly from organisers and contributors. An organiser may give us a contributor’s email address so we can send a card invitation. We also receive limited transaction and fulfilment information from payment, email, printing and delivery providers.
Information is shared only as reasonably necessary with hosting and database providers, email delivery services, payment providers including Stripe or PayPal where selected, professional advisers, printing and postal providers, and public authorities where legally required. These organisations may act as processors or as independent controllers for their own regulated services.
Some suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where required, we use providers and contractual or legal safeguards intended to protect the information during those transfers. You may ask us for further information about relevant safeguards.
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to use of your personal information. You can also withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis. Email support@signmycard.com. We may need to verify your identity. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
SMC may be used by young people. We minimise the information required from contributors and design the service with appropriate privacy protections. A young person should obtain permission from a parent, guardian or other responsible adult before uploading photographs or providing personal information about themselves or somebody else.
Contact support@signmycard.com as soon as possible if you want to cancel. Where cancellation rights apply and work has not begun, we will process the cancellation in accordance with applicable consumer law.
SMC begins providing platform access and card-creation services after activation. If you ask to cancel after services have started, we may be entitled to retain a reasonable amount for services already supplied, where permitted by law and where the required information and consent have been provided.
Once a card has been completed, prepared for print or printed to your specification, a change-of-mind cancellation will not normally be available because the product is personalised. This does not affect rights relating to faulty, damaged, misdescribed or undelivered goods or services.
If the delivered card is damaged, materially different from the confirmed order, incorrectly produced by us or does not arrive, email support@signmycard.com with the order details and, where relevant, clear photographs. Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, we may repair, reprint, replace or refund the affected part of the order.
We are not normally responsible for spelling, names, addresses, photographs or messages supplied or approved by the organiser, unless our service changes them incorrectly. Please review the card and delivery information carefully before completion.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Banks and payment providers may take additional time to display the funds. Optional contributions may already have been committed to the intended recipient; requests concerning them will be assessed according to transaction status, applicable law and the payment provider’s rules.
Statutory rights: Nothing in this policy limits the rights provided to consumers by UK law.
We aim to dispatch the finished card within 3–5 business days after the organiser completes it. Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. If completion details are incomplete, a payment is unresolved or the card requires customer clarification, the dispatch period begins once the issue is resolved.
Royal Mail delivery time begins after dispatch and is separate from our 3–5-business-day preparation period. Royal Mail 1st Class aims to deliver on the next working day after dispatch but is not guaranteed. Postal estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates. Weather, seasonal demand, industrial action, address problems and other circumstances outside our reasonable control may cause delays.
The organiser is responsible for entering a complete and accurate delivery name and address. Contact support@signmycard.com immediately if a correction is required. We cannot guarantee changes after printing or dispatch has begun, and reasonable reprinting or redelivery costs may apply where an incorrect address was supplied.
Where tracking or delivery confirmation is available, it will appear in the organiser dashboard or be sent by email. Royal Mail 2nd Class services may not always provide end-to-end tracking.
If a card has not arrived within a reasonable period after dispatch, contact support@signmycard.com. We may ask you to confirm the address and allow the postal provider’s investigation period before arranging the appropriate remedy. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
SMC may store the current card reference, completion summary and a one-time submission identifier in the browser. These help return an organiser to the correct card and prevent accidental duplicate signatures. Removing this storage may interrupt an unfinished journey but does not delete information already submitted to SMC.
If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising or similar technologies, we will update this notice and provide an appropriate consent choice before setting them where consent is required.
You can remove cookies and stored website data using your browser settings. Essential features such as login may stop working until the necessary storage is recreated.
Email complaint@signmycard.com with your name, account email, card recipient or order reference, a clear description of the problem and the outcome you are seeking. Do not send full card numbers, passwords or other unnecessary sensitive information.
We aim to acknowledge complaints within two business days and provide a substantive response within ten business days. Complex matters or issues involving a payment, postal or printing provider may take longer; if so, we will explain the reason and provide an update.
Please first give us an opportunity to investigate. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office through ico.org.uk.
